Scarifying

Scarifying a lawn normally happens when a lawn has become very spongy and the bottom sections become hard, died and is unsightly. This process is managed with a scarifying machine, which then cuts off the grass just below the surface, removing some of the roots, all dead grass and grass. It then gets aired by means of a spike roller. After all the debris are removed we apply compost and fertilizer and the client has to water as per norm (depending on water restrictions).
After a couple of days, the new surface shoots will start going green and grow as per normal. The become lush and green and ready for normal day to day activity. After the scarifying, the lawn will look terrible, but please be informed that this is just temporarily, as the new lawn will start growing soon.
