Kirstenhof is a suburb located in the southern suburbs of Cape Town, South Africa. The area was originally part of the farm called Vlakkenberg, which was granted to Hendrik ten Damme by the Dutch East India Company in 1743. The farm was later sold to the Cloete family, who owned it for several generations.

In 1904, the farm was subdivided and sold to the Cape Town Land and Development Company, which began to develop the area into a residential suburb. The suburb was named after Johannes Kirsten, who was the mayor of Cape Town from 1891 to 1892.

On the edge of Valentino Rd there is a lovely playpark for the kiddies with swings a roundabout and a junglegym”
